The Underground
The Underground is a state-of-the-art
club and concert venue providing top-quality, live entertainment
from local and national music acts. It is a positive alternative
to the club and bar scene, offering a smoke, drug and alcohol-free
Christian environment for young adults every Thursday, Friday and
Saturday night. Within the club are elevated walkways, a recreational
area dedicated to a variety of games, a café, smoothie bar
and lounges that encourage discussion and interaction.
The Underground is a bridge from the non-Christian
world into the concept of Christianity. It offers an environment
that allows relationship building to take place, where Christianity
can be modeled and positive role models can be reinforced. The Underground
maintains high standards by putting on events/shows that demonstrate
good values. Any form of obscene language, gestures and/or lyrical
content promoting sex, violence, hatred or drug-use is strictly
prohibited.
The Underground attracts a diverse group of people
from a variety of cultures and ethnicities, offering various music
styles and genres. While the club is designed for young adults (high
school sophomores and older), all ages are welcome for national
concert events.
The Underground is also available to rent for meetings,
conferences, parties, receptions, after-proms, lock-ins and more.
The Zone
The Zone is a music video television program offering
a positive, Christian message that is ethically and morally based.
The Zone’s goal is to entertain, inform and challenge the
viewers to explore their purpose and direction in life by presenting
key and relevant questions. The Zone allows youth to experience
the Gospel in a relevant manner where they don’t have to compromise.
The Zone is taped at The Underground during live
events such as national and local concerts.
The Zone, originating in 1998
and airing on local cable systems throughout the Greater Cincinnati
area, has grown to become one of the most popular programs in its
genre and is now being distributed nationally and internationally.
Currently, The Zone airs weekly
on its flagship station Channel 9 WCPO (ABC) in Cincinnati, Ohio,
averaging approximately 20,000 weekly viewers. The Zone airs on
over 200 stations across North America, averaging 450,000 weekly
viewers. The Zone is also reaching and impacting youth worldwide,
airing in Canada, Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, the Middle East
and beyond.
The Zone also offers college students
who are interested in pursuing a career in media the opportunity
to intern and work side-by-side with media professionals on an international
television show to earn college credit hours towards their degree.
The Media Training Academy
The Media Training Academy serves
to train and equip young people to become tomorrow’s media
professionals as media missionaries.
The Media Training Academy, taught by media professionals
from colleges and churches, equips young people to enter the media
and entertainment industries and present a Christian worldview within
their body of work.
The Media Training Academy features:
· Internship programs providing
media training for college students resulting in credit hours towards
graduation.
· High School Television and Film Workshops.
· Hands-on applications.
· Summer camps.
· Access to digital cameras, the latest technology and post-production
equipment.
· Workshops led by media professionals with the opportunity
for one-on-one learning experiences.
· Opportunities for students to work directly on The Zone.
· Seminars and workshops for those interested in hosting
or acing roles.
